I spent a little over a month volunteering at this farm and it was absolutely amazing! The work was rewarding – we harvested olives and pomegranates, and even planted nearly 400 olive trees. After work, we often had movie nights on the projector, which was a great way to bond with other volunteers. On weekends, we explored beautiful places like waterfalls, ancient cities, and went to the beach every Sunday. The accommodation was in cozy, fully-equipped houses. This was an unforgettable experience where I met great people and learned a lot about farm life. I highly recommend this farm to any future volunteer!

My time at this family farm couldn’t have been more special. I enjoyed every single day on the farm - both the work and the peaceful rhythm of life there. Mornings started with feeding and grazing the sheep, spreading crops to dry in the sun, harvesting beans, and sometimes helping out with small construction or maintenance projects as well as tree feeding. Every task felt meaningful, and the days were filled with good conversations, laughter, and shared moments with Kevser and Mehmet. Their kindness, generosity, and genuine care for volunteers made me feel completely at home. They always took the time to explain things with patience and joy. The food was delicious every day, the landscape stunning, and the accommodation cozy and comfortable. I’d love to come back one day - it truly felt like being part of a family.

Fatih and his mother took good care of me. The room provided for the volunteer is excellent and food is plentiful and healthy. There is enough space for everyone to have privacy. Fatih is generous with his knowledge and the tasks were varied. I was very happy with my stay.

Idamera is beautiful place. I have spent 2 weeks there with Ferit and Gudrun and their lovely family. They know so much about agriculture and animal husbandry. I have learnt so much from them and enjoyed our lovely conversations too. Would definitely recommend this place for whoever wants to eat good cheese too. Thank you for everything. Kisses to Lara and Heidi

Simon and I had a great time at Idamera farm. In one week, we could see lots of different activities : feeding cows/sheeps, milking sheeps (and then making cheese!), tyding the barn, preparing the soil and planting, … as well as cooking together, chilling with other volunteers, having joyful and delicious meals and interesting conversations. We had the chance to see nearly all the process of making cheese and to accompagn Ferit/Gudrun working outside the farm. Ferit & Gudrun were very patient with us, always willing to show and explain to us. We quickly felt trust and autonomy. Their farm is an interesting place where circular economy is experimented everyday, great « farm to fork » projects ; and the farm was built nearly from scratch with lots of ingeniosity ! Thanks much again Gudrun and Ferit, Alles Güte an alle !

I had such a wonderful stay at Idamera of two and a half weeks! Gudrun and Ferit have created something so special. The sense of community they have cultivated at the farm you can really feel. Their ethics, animal husbandry and way of life is really inspiring. I felt so welcome, the work in the garden was very meditative. It was great to see how they are running the dairy as well. I would love to come back some day. And the food was so good!

My first WWOOFing experience at this farm was absolutely incredible! The host couple, Kevser and Mehmet, was incredibly kind, attentive and caring throughout my entire stay. We clicked right from the start. The accommodation was very comfortable, I had everything I needed. The work was diverse and interesting – for example, we herded sheep, prepared grapes for drying into raisins, and worked in the garden. It was a truly unforgettable experience that I will cherish forever. I highly recommend this host!

This was my first WWOOF experience, and I can't recommend it enough. I spent a little less than two weeks with Özcan, his sister, his son, Zeinulha, Döner, and Perya, and everyone was kind and welcoming. The room I stayed in was clean and very pleasant, as was the bathroom I had access to. It should be noted that only he and his son speak English; Nurya (his sister) speaks German, the rest of the staff speak exclusively Turkish, but this isn't a problem, as gestures and smiles are understandable in all languages. For those who might be interested, I encourage you to plan ahead with your needs (hygiene products, guilty pleasures, cigarettes, etc.) as the farm is somewhat out of the way. The work I was able to do was quite physical, so make sure you're in good shape if you want to visit Özcan's place. During my various workdays, I was able to: - Harvest tomatoes, peppers, and beans - Install irrigation pipes - Participate in the major cleanup of the Anatolish (traditional tea room) - Cut down dead trees to prepare the wood for winter - Prune trees Although minimal work is expected, I was able to go for a hike or take some time for myself when I felt the need. In any case, if this farm is on your route, go for it!
