Bir kış gününde düştüm yollara. Yol boyunca karlı dağların eteğindeki yemyeşil buğday tarlalarının yanından geçerken; sözlerini İbrahim Karaca’nın yazdığı İlkay Akkaya’nın güzel sesinden dinlediğimiz “Bekle buğday tanesi” şiiri/şarkısını mırıldanarak yol almanın keyfine, köyün yukarıya doğru tırmanan dolambaçlı yolunun büyüsü de eklendi. Gün batarken Çal Dağı ve Yılan Buyduran Dağları’na bakan çiftliğe Kevser’in sımsıcak karşılamasıyla ilk adımımı attım.

I wholeheartedly recommend staying at Taurus Mountains Farm, as it truly lives up to its values of innovation, community, and sustainability. From day one, you feel that you are part of something bigger. The farm staff treats all volunteers, workers, and management with genuine love and respect, and Cetin, Kim, and Berk are always around to welcome you and listen to your perspectives. During my stay, I learned how to protect avocado trees from frost damage, work with olive and rosemary trees, and spent many lovely moments caring for the farm animals. Working alongside the villagers made the experience even more special. Zeynab is truly a GOAT. She brings so much energy to the mornings and makes time in the fields feel special and cherished. The pets Tommy, Latte, Cappuccino, and Rosie will always have a special place in my heart whenever I look back at my pictures and videos. In fact, all of the animals on the farm are friendly, sweet, and love being around newcomers, always showing so much affection. Cetin regularly hosted opportunities to enjoy homemade Turkish cuisine and learn about local traditions. If you are considering owning a farm one day, this is a great place to start, as the farm is expanding and offers firsthand insight into how a growing farm is run. Berk always makes sure volunteers are well fed, helps with groceries, and plans fun weekend getaways. The team truly makes you feel at home, turning my one month stay into an unforgettable first WWOOF experience.

My mom and I had an amazing time at Taurus Mountains Farm. Cetin and his team are inviting, the accommodations are wonderful, the location is unmatched, and the farm itself is brimming with potential. I appreciated that the farm staff was so involved with the daily ins and outs of farm work (shoutout to Berk) and that we got to work side by side with members of the surrounding community. I felt like I not only had the chance to learn about and contribute to the process of organic farming, but to also be immersed in Turkish culture (food, language, customs, etc.) I am excited to see how the farm grows in the years to come. I am glad to have had the opportunity to work on Taurus Mountains Farm with my mom and will forever be grateful to Cetin and his team. It was an unbelievable experience.

I stayed at Taurus mountains farm for one month while in Turkey and I would highly recommend it. The farm is located in a really beautiful area surrounded by incredible views of the mountains. They are a fairly new farm which I found really interesting to have been part of this chapter as they navigate many important foundational aspects of their farm. Theres a real communal feeling amongst everyone involved so i felt comfortable right away. We mainly worked with the farm manager, Berk, who always does his best to make sure the wwoofers felt comfortable. And Zaynep, who had a wonderful energy and taught us how to make Burek! Cetin and Kim are also wonderful hosts and very accommodating. We worked from 8:30am-1:30pm Monday - Friday with Saturday as a cleaning day and Sunday as a free day. Our main working duties included planting avocado trees, giving them shade wraps. And replacing the old watering system. We even did a little bit of work with the bees. All the work was very rewarding and I learned so much about avocado trees. I already miss the beautiful days in the avocado felid, great movie nights with the team and cuddles with Rosie the dog! I’ll Definitely be back!

Thank you for your hospitality. I think the schedule could be better organized to allow for more free time in the afternoon, but that's the only slight criticism. We were so warmly welcomed. The meals were delicious, and the atmosphere in the Fethyie mountains was so rejuvenating. The hosts are incredibly attentive and make sure we feel comfortable. Thank you again, we will be back.

This is less of a review but more so a long overdue thank you! I got to meet such a wonderful family at 40 Ambar Çiftliği who was welcoming and willing to share what they knew about caring for the land. I’m beyond grateful for the opportunity to volunteer with them this summer. Every day brought a new adventure and I learned so much working with everyone. From caring for the goats, harvesting and preparing the lavender, planting vegetables, baking bread, harvesting and storing grain, and so much more. It was hard but rewarding work... (character limit) What a great experience, thank you!

The owners of farm are loving people who really enjoy producing, sharing, and teaching. Gudrun is very hardworking, disciplined, energetic, friendly, and very sweet. Ferit is knowledgeable, always happy to share what he knows, and he is fun to talk to. Playing with their daughter Lara, talking to her, listening to her, painting and drawing with her is so enjoyable, she is a very sweet child. Ferit’s mother is a warm, cultured, and elegant woman; you can talk with her for hours about anything. I will miss all the loving people I met there, and of course Boncuk the cat and Nuşin the dog, and all the animals. And I will miss the amazingly delicious vegetables in the garden, the olive oil and spices, and the yogurt and cheese we made… 🩷

I spent one week at Cetins place, settled in a wonderful spot with great view on the mountains. The volunteers are lodged in nice and comfortable stone houses and meals were cooked together in the big kitchen/living place. Berk, the farm manager was very welcoming, the communication was excellent and on top he was always trying to comfort all volunteers needs. Work wise, I was harvesting or planting in greenhouses, planting trees and making carob powder during the week but never more than four hours a day, which gave enough time to relax and go for walks in the afternoon. A big thank you for this discovery and wishing all the best for this project to develop and grow :-) hope to come back one day soon!
