You won’t even notice how time passes in Zeytinliboğaz… You’ll welcome your mornings surrounded by the lush green of olive trees, and your evenings with breathtaking sunsets painted in the sky. The day begins with feeding the animals — chickens, cows, sheep, and goats. Throughout the day, the dogs eagerly wait for your affection, along with one charming cat. I stayed for a month, and we did different work; moving wood, cleaning inside and outside, some work in the greenhouse, shopping in the market(where you will meet the local people and culture even deeper), filling bottles with olive oil and cherry vinegar etc. Connecting with Selçuk and Julia is effortless — they are warm, sincere people. Selçuk is enthusiastic about cooking in the kitchen, introducing you to delicious Turkish dishes, showing you the daily work on the farm, and sharing his knowledge about the world, his culture, and his craft. Just be ready — he’ll happily keep you by his side the whole time!

My time at Idamera was great! I spent about two weeks helping with the cows (cleaning, feeding, milking), in the dairy room or anywhere else on the farm where my help was needed. I felt really welcome and included in the family - thank you.❤️ I could have spent definitely more time at the farm and it would have been worth it. Gudrun and Ferit really make effort to share their knowledge about agriculture so I learnt a lot. When I was feeling tired from work we found a solution together (changed the daily schedule a little bit). I can definitely recommend Idamera for other volunteers!

Idamera is an amazing place. I only spent a week here, and I had an unforgettable experience— I hope to return again soon for a longer stay. Gudi and Ferit are amazing teachers, full of knowledge and an enthusiasm to share their craft with volunteers. I thoroughly enjoyed learning from the two of them about milk, cheese and yogurt production. It was a joy to work out in the vegetables patches with Gudi and it was an amazing feeling to be eating the products and vegetables they produce themselves. They are clear and concise with their directions and they are very respectful and considerate people. I will cherish the laughs and the meals I’ve had here. Thanks to them, I have been inspired to adopt some of their farming techniques for my own future farm. Their way of life has greatly impacted my thoughts on food production and consumption and I am so grateful for it! And a special shoutout for Lara who is the coolest kid ever! Thank you Idamera!!!

I can't thank you enough, Anil, for this unforgettable experience and the opportunity to live such a life. This month has been truly therapeutic for me. Living in nature has given me not only new insights about myself, but also a friend. I will greatly miss our cozy evenings after work and shared breakfasts💔 And also my beloved, cunning ginger cat. Say hello to him from me from time to time! May all your wishes come true, and may your cozy nest flourish among the majestic mountains and bring happiness to as many people as possible who come to visit you, and, of course, to you❤️

Bir kış gününde düştüm yollara. Yol boyunca karlı dağların eteğindeki yemyeşil buğday tarlalarının yanından geçerken; sözlerini İbrahim Karaca’nın yazdığı İlkay Akkaya’nın güzel sesinden dinlediğimiz “Bekle buğday tanesi” şiiri/şarkısını mırıldanarak yol almanın keyfine, köyün yukarıya doğru tırmanan dolambaçlı yolunun büyüsü de eklendi. Gün batarken Çal Dağı ve Yılan Buyduran Dağları’na bakan çiftliğe Kevser’in sımsıcak karşılamasıyla ilk adımımı attım.

I wholeheartedly recommend staying at Taurus Mountains Farm, as it truly lives up to its values of innovation, community, and sustainability. From day one, you feel that you are part of something bigger. The farm staff treats all volunteers, workers, and management with genuine love and respect, and Cetin, Kim, and Berk are always around to welcome you and listen to your perspectives. During my stay, I learned how to protect avocado trees from frost damage, work with olive and rosemary trees, and spent many lovely moments caring for the farm animals. Working alongside the villagers made the experience even more special. Zeynab is truly a GOAT. She brings so much energy to the mornings and makes time in the fields feel special and cherished. The pets Tommy, Latte, Cappuccino, and Rosie will always have a special place in my heart whenever I look back at my pictures and videos. In fact, all of the animals on the farm are friendly, sweet, and love being around newcomers, always showing so much affection. Cetin regularly hosted opportunities to enjoy homemade Turkish cuisine and learn about local traditions. If you are considering owning a farm one day, this is a great place to start, as the farm is expanding and offers firsthand insight into how a growing farm is run. Berk always makes sure volunteers are well fed, helps with groceries, and plans fun weekend getaways. The team truly makes you feel at home, turning my one month stay into an unforgettable first WWOOF experience.

My mom and I had an amazing time at Taurus Mountains Farm. Cetin and his team are inviting, the accommodations are wonderful, the location is unmatched, and the farm itself is brimming with potential. I appreciated that the farm staff was so involved with the daily ins and outs of farm work (shoutout to Berk) and that we got to work side by side with members of the surrounding community. I felt like I not only had the chance to learn about and contribute to the process of organic farming, but to also be immersed in Turkish culture (food, language, customs, etc.) I am excited to see how the farm grows in the years to come. I am glad to have had the opportunity to work on Taurus Mountains Farm with my mom and will forever be grateful to Cetin and his team. It was an unbelievable experience.

I stayed at Taurus mountains farm for one month while in Turkey and I would highly recommend it. The farm is located in a really beautiful area surrounded by incredible views of the mountains. They are a fairly new farm which I found really interesting to have been part of this chapter as they navigate many important foundational aspects of their farm. Theres a real communal feeling amongst everyone involved so i felt comfortable right away. We mainly worked with the farm manager, Berk, who always does his best to make sure the wwoofers felt comfortable. And Zaynep, who had a wonderful energy and taught us how to make Burek! Cetin and Kim are also wonderful hosts and very accommodating. We worked from 8:30am-1:30pm Monday - Friday with Saturday as a cleaning day and Sunday as a free day. Our main working duties included planting avocado trees, giving them shade wraps. And replacing the old watering system. We even did a little bit of work with the bees. All the work was very rewarding and I learned so much about avocado trees. I already miss the beautiful days in the avocado felid, great movie nights with the team and cuddles with Rosie the dog! I’ll Definitely be back!

Thank you for your hospitality. I think the schedule could be better organized to allow for more free time in the afternoon, but that's the only slight criticism. We were so warmly welcomed. The meals were delicious, and the atmosphere in the Fethyie mountains was so rejuvenating. The hosts are incredibly attentive and make sure we feel comfortable. Thank you again, we will be back.
