Latif was a kind and generous host. He made sure to have a friend pick me up from the train station and provided amazing Turkish food and a lovely room. Sadly, I could only stay for a few days as I became sick. I recommend to talk about the amount of working hours from the beginning. Work includes picking and drying mullberries and making pekmez. I was also able to explore the nature around his farm which is very beautiful. I am very thankful for the time I got to spend with Latif and especially with his lovely mum. And would recommend the experience.

This is a family home with a large plot of land filled with mulberry trees in the Kemaliye region, near the canyon—it's very beautiful. The owner manages a 3-star hotel located right next door. The staff, the owner, and his mother are friendly (but they don't speak English). The meals are good and served in the very beautiful dining room at the top of the hotel. The accommodation is in one of the rooms of the beautiful wooden family home—it's decent. There is no Wi-Fi in this house, but it is accessible on the hotel terrace.
We worked for six days picking and sorting white mulberries. The work is from 9 AM to 6 PM with a lunch break around 2 PM or 3 PM. It's a good idea to ask about the work hours before arriving. The work is quite repetitive. As foreigners, we would have appreciated a bit more communication, but it's understandable since no one spoke English.
