Welcome to our farm on the beautiful island of Gökçeada, Türkiye. We are building a self-sufficient and nature-focused place step by step, surrounded by oak forest, hills, beaches, and wide open landscapes.
I live with my girlfriend İsaïa, from France. Our land is around 150 acres with vineyards, olive trees, fruit and nut trees, vegetable gardens, and animals including goats, sheep, chickens, bees, and cats. We produce small quantities of honey, dairy products, olive oil, wine, molasses, and seasonal foods.
We’re looking for motivated people who enjoy outdoor life, simple living, and learning by doing. Help can include gardening, planting, harvesting, animal care, cooking, cleaning, DIY projects, maintenance, and seasonal farm tasks. Every season brings something different. Helping hours are usually around 5-6 hours per day, depending on the season.
In exchange, we offer accommodation in a stone house with two rooms, kitchen, private toilet, Wi-Fi, fresh spring water, and beautiful views over the island and lake. We usually share dinner together.
In your free time you can explore beaches, hike through forests, swim, fish, discover local festivals, or simply enjoy peaceful nights under the stars.

Since this was my first wwoofing experience here, I feel very lucky on one hand, but on the other hand, Ercan and İsaïa set the bar so high that I’m worried other places won’t feel this good. Waking up every morning to one of the most beautiful views you could imagine, experiencing so many different aspects of farming all in one place, and spending the evenings in the garden eating homemade pizzas they cooked in their stone oven was truly wonderful.
P.S. Don’t make the same mistake I did by assuming the beetroot pizza wouldn’t be that good and saving it for last — it’s actually the best one, and you probably won’t find anything like it anywhere else.

Last week I had the chance to visit Ercan Bey’s farm. He is a truly kind person, and together with his mother, they welcomed me in a very warm and generous way. I had the opportunity to learn basic knowledge about farming and animal care, which was a very valuable experience for me. I am deeply thankful for the chance they gave me and for treating me like a family member during my stay. Special thanks also to their lovely dog, Roket, who guided me on the paths and made sure I never got lost inside the farm ;)

Valanar çiftliğinde iki arkadaş yaklaşık 6 gün geçirdik. Çiftlik gönüllüler için oldukça rahat ve kolay bir şekilde konaklama sağlıyor. Köpekleri Balkız ve üç kedisi ile birlikte vakit geçirmek, güne bu güzel ortamda gündoğumu ile başlamak şehirde yaşayan bizler için paha biçilemezdi. Çiftlikte yapılacak farklı konularda birçok iş bulunmakta. Yeni kurulan bir çiftlik olduğu için teknik anlamda tarım ve hayvancılık üzerine derin bilgilere ulaşılamayabilir, bununla birlikte günlük işlere katılarak bir çiftliğin kurulum aşamaları, zorlukları, ve gelişimine dair birçok bilgi edinilebilir. Tabiki ortaya çıkan ürünlere şahitlik etmek harikaydı. Wwoof ekibine bu güzel platform için ve Ercan beye bize ailenin bir üyesi gibi hissettirdiği için teşekkür ederiz.

I spent one week in this fabulous place and I highly recommend !
Ercan is a very welcoming host, who does everything to make you feel good, he takes time to explain to you the tasks deeply ( taking care of the vines, milking the animals...)
I totally fell in love with Ercan's farm, it's a place I would like to come back.
